I really wish the seats were just permanently reclined. It's painful how upright the seats are. They only get marginally comfortable after you recline. I don't care at all about the person behind me. Sit in the front row if you don't want someone reclining in front of you.
That really says it all.
I mean, do you really care about the person in front of you? Do you care about anyone on the plane whom you don't know? Be honest, now.
This is so weird.
Not weird. You're asking people to prioritize strangers' comfort over their own. Most people are not going to do that.
Except most people find it inconsiderate and consequently don't recline.
Do you have a citation to back up this assertion?
I fly quite frequently and don't think I've ever seen a majority of people reclining their seats in coach. I think someone posted a survey earlier in the thread. If you want to recline, it's not a big deal. But let's be honest about the person likely not being ok with what you're doing. You are putting your comfort ahead of someone else's.
But you are mad that I am doing so, which means that you want YOUR comfort prioritized. So how are you any better?
NP If someone is mad in their head, they are not doing/saying anything that affects you at all. Wanting without doing has zero effect on other people. The person reclining is acting for their own comfort at the expense of someone else's. You have to realize you prioritizing your comfort makes you a little less of a considerate person. Be ok with that.
I'm 100000% ok with someone else thinking I'm less considerate. We can agree to disagree. Luckily I cannot read your mind and don't care one bit what you think.
