Cars belong in street. Street parking and parking lots are not bad things. Basketball hoops that get in the way of parking are a nuisance. You may not like any if this, but you cannot order or trick others into agreeing with you.[/quote]

What if I put the basketball hoop in my driveway and make sure to always park my car in the street instead?  Will that clear the way for more street parking?[/quote]

If you are parking the car in front of your own house bc the hoop is in the driveway, that's fine. If you put the hoop in front of someone else's house, therefore blocking them/their guests from parking in front of their own house, that's not fine.[/quote]
