That poor woman needs HELP - substance abuse and mental health treatment, this is inhumane. A monthly voucher is still far less than 1 day of treatment at St. E's, look up the rates for yourself. It's all dressed up as progressive but this woman is clearly ill.

It's a disaster for families who used to live in buildings along Connecticut and Wisconsin for the schools. And for retirees who are stuck living next to the drug addicts and criminals who are prioritized for vouchers.

Don't believe the hype about how things are stabilizing in DC, they are not. The city squanders money with little to no oversight. The woman in the article is a human being. She may also be being exploited by her "boyfriend" imo. [/quote]
