I haven't read the responses to this thread yet, but you do realize that Russia was our WWII ally? Ands some (many?) historians views the battle of Leningrad (where 2 million Russians died) is what defeated Hitler. [/quote]

Well, the OP didn't seem to realize that we were once allies with Russia (see the original post). Alliances shift overtime. Sure our European allies want us to protect them from Russian expansion, but it's not immoral for us to look at our own national interests and decide that actually our resources are better spent on our own needs.[/quote]
