He has videos on X with 100M+ views and unlike cable news anchors he doesn’t get paid a salary and makes waaay more money off of his own content than they could ever dream of making. Number of views on Xitter should be taken with a grain of salt. Tucker was already rich so it's unlikely that money is the prime driver. Tucker doesn't really respect his viewers since he'll openly lie to them on his "news" show; he is an entertainer after all! Getting kicked out of Fox was humiliating and exposed his dishonesty. I'd say Tucker wants to prove his worth to the "coastal elite" circles he wails about.

Tucker doesn’t need the approval of coastal elites. He is a coastal elite! That’s why these blue bloods types who fly Ukraine flags, post Hate Has No Home Here signs, or do whatever other type of sloganeering to fit in, hate him so much. He calls out their BS, which he’s been surrounded by since birth. They view him as a class traitor and he wears that badge with honor.
