[/quote] The Costcos in VA only sell beer and wine, just like grocery stores … DC has more relaxed liquor laws so their Costco has hard liquor/spirits. Vodka, rum, etc. [/quote] I think the confusion is over the term “liquor.” Beer and wine (which Costco can sell in VA) are not liquor. In Virginia, liquor (vodka, tequila, rum, etc.) can only be sold at an official ABC store by law. [/quote]
