I'm reading this book right now When McKinsey Comes to Town. McKinsey's consultants, largely made up on uber elitists from ivy league schools who live on the coasts, have for years been the architects of wealth inequality. McKinsey consultants were the ones who came up with idea that CEOs needed to make 300x the average worker. It was McKinsey consultants who constantly pushed the idea of off shoring and downsizing that have gutted manufacturing and many middle class jobs. McKinsey consultants are also the ones who also worked for the FDA while simultaneously consulting for Purdue to supercharge sales of opioids. And who paid the price and had their families and lives ruined? All of the poor in those areas the disgusting elitists call flyover country. In another example, McKisney also consulted for the Chinese CCP on artificial island building in the South China Sea while working for the US department of defense. And who'll be sent into the meat grinder when there's a conflict in the SCS? All of the poor people and their kids. There are just so many examples in the book - it's so disturbing. And people wonder why huge swaths of America hate the liberal costal elitists. I mean just look how many McKinsey almuni infect our govt like virus (Pete Buttgeig, Lael Brainard, etc.). Trump has appeal because he isn't from the same swamp producing and employing the likes of McKinsey consultsnts that have been ruining the country for the last 50 years and creating massive wealth inequality. It's largely the elite college educated, urban Democrats who choose to go work for companies like McKinsey, Wall St. etc. that have been gutting their jobs and destroying the livelihood of the middle class.
You mean, the same McKinsey that Trump has hired on many occasions? I mean...no...it can't be. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/12/03/us/mckinsey-ICE-immigration.html https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/trump-world-health-organization-china-kushner-mckinsey-coronavirus-task-force-984437/ https://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-administration-hires-mckinsey-to-evaluate-student-loan-portfolio-11556728035
Oh please...try looking up how many McKinsey consultants Biden, Obama all the way down to Clinton have had in advising their cabinets or their alumni from McKinsey they've appointed to govt positions. It's really not hard to understand - THE ENTIRE SWAMP is corrupted from top to bottom with corporate interests, lobbyists for those corporate interests, and consultants playing the US govt like a fiddle for those corporate interests. It's entirely laughable you think it is GOP only when the lobbyists and consulting firms destroying the foundations of our country are liberal elite university trained and educated. You're basically insinuating that Yale, Princeton, Harvard, etc..only produce Republicans who go work for terrible firms like McKinsey. That's absolutely false. Who was in office again during peak of the opioid epidemic? That's right, Obama was. And his govt was filled with McKinsey people pulling the string behind the scenes getting Americans addicted to opioids. And you wonder why Americans are so pissed at the govt when the entire system has been corrupted by regulatory and special interest capture? Whether you like it or not, Trump is able to tap into that anger. People in the middle of the country earning $12 per hour who were laid off because some Harvard University grad working for a consulting firm came up with the brilliant plan for cost cutting to earn fees for their firm identify with Trump who says he will torch the swamp more so than Dems who offer more of the same.
