Dogs are nurture and nature and you got a pit-boxer passed off as a Lab mix. There's reasons the active working dogs are from purpose bred lines not whatver looks to larger from a rescue. Some who grew up with German Shepherds, Dobies, Labs etc fell for the rescue furbaby stuff. Then discovered all the fine training etc didn't give them the great family dog they envisioned. Pack it in and go to a breeder. Our Labs and herding breeds were less effort at a few months than you have at 1 year.[/quote]
