I liked her in her early days. She was married to her husband at the time. She was witty, touching, and relatable. I like Abby but their relationship felt a bit love- bombing to me and Goennon became less relatable. I still listened to her book on my walks but it fell pretty flat to me.
I liked her much more in her early days and I was a fan of Abby on her own. Good point about the love bombing. The relationship did feel too intense too fast and now it just feels off. They had some good podcasts, but I think they peaked a while ago. Also, her stories are always changing: when she met Abby and started a relationship (during failing marriage or after?)/whether she recovered from an eating disorder/saying her parents were practically perfect in every way to admitting some issues with her mother and the emphasis on being thin and not being able to express feelings (which is a common complaint and doesn't mean she wasn't a great mom, but very different from the picture she painted years ago). I don't really trust anything that she says because her stories change.
