From Page Six: "Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow are preparing to release a joint statement after their former co-star was found dead in his Los Angeles home Saturday at age 54, we’re told. “The cast is reeling from the loss of their brother, because that’s what Matty was — their brother,” an industry source told us Sunday. “It’s just devastating.”
Yeah, I assumed they'd be working together on a statement. Have always appreciated the way they stuck together.
Why? This is personal not business. They should be free to say what they want. I hope they each provide a tidbit about him that we didn’t know, like how many people he has helped, etc.
NP. You want a “tidbit” about a man who lived in the public eye since the age of 24 or so, who recently published a heartbreakingly complete, honest, and vulnerable memoir? You want a little “tidbit,” eh, you ghoul? However THEY decide to handle it will be the right thing to do. Keep sniffing around for tidbits.
NP but what a bizarre and rage-filled take. I interpreted “tidbit” to mean a fond personal memory they had of him that is not widely known, not a piece of gossip.
What more can they say? What more can they give you? They’ve done interviews, reunion specials, behind-the-scenes footage, DVD commentary, on and on. And for someone to say oh well if they do it as a group that’s disappointing and they’d better do it like this…I mean, shut up. This is their friend, their longtime friend and colleague. However they choose to deal with it is right, and any criticism of how they choose to approach this is wrong.
Being this is a personal loss to each and everyone of them, each with their own emotions, etc. I find it strange that each of them wouldn’t publish their own condolences. The fact that they are making it as a group also makes it seem like they are more concerned about protecting the “image” of Friends than personal emotions. Sad.
I disagree.
