I'm all for renaming all of them. No children of color should be forced to go to schools named for racists and segregationists. PERIOD.[/quote]

Totally different cases. TJ was a Founding Father from the 1700s. W.T. Woodson is an old man of little consequence who was still a racist in the 1980s.[/quote]

You are right, it is a totally different case.
TJ was a known and proud slave owner who reportedly raped his slaves and fathered unwanted children with them  
W.T. Woodson was an old man who served the community that researchers had to dig deep to find an obscure letter where he wanted to delay desegregation, but then ultimately oversaw the successful integration of the school district.[/quote]

You're right it's low hanging fruit. TJ isn't as others have made clear. And which you already know.

But your reference to "quick points" is just absurd. Doing the right thing is what is at issue here. There's not points to be had when we have the likes of you up here criticizing the change and defending racists. [/quote]
