Why feed and house inmates at $130K? That's a waste of money and resources. Build a mega prison with cheap overhead and throw them in there. There's no reason to spend any money on these folks when there's no return on investment. And we can stop death penalty appeals. That is a time suck.[/quote]

That would be considerable cheaper. I doubt this is their first merry-go-round. These are likely juveniles on their 4th, 5th, + criminal incident with no future prospects. We do not need them. What we do need are more mega prisons. Make them for profit if needed. Prison labor can be used for hire to make it self sustaining. There's got to be a solution because they do not belong in society. We cannot put retailers or services in low income communities because the people that live there with rob and loot these very institutions. They continue to dig their own graves. [/quote]

Here's the rub. I'm not a R. Never voted R in my life. Dems are also sick of the crime. We're done. The idea that only Republicans hate criminals is ridiculous, and why we're in the mess that we see now. You want to die on your hill with urban crime, fine. But the rest of us will be moving away from crime and to the suburbs. Inner cities like Philly are in total ruin. [/quote]
