What’s the deal with Davis? I’m not opposed to voting for a Republican who isn’t primarily motivated by a desire to punish gay and trans teenagers, but there’s no agenda on her website. Her issues page just says that she wants academic achievement and better special education services. How?
She is a moderate, left of center/center/right of center depending on the issue independent. She probably aligns politically to the majority of FCPS parents. Conservative in some things, liberal on others, and wants our schools to steer down the middle, with academics as the priority, leaving the rest to families. She is VERY well informed about FCPS and its processes, attending a majority of school board meetings and many of the smaller planning meetings that occur during the day where most of the decisions are crafted. The fringe activists know her as being very informed and very moderate. That is why they rage against her online in places like this web forum. She will provide a single voice of reason and counter debate to the 100% leftist D school board. Sunlight is the best disinfectant, and the far left activists are terrified of sunlight (as well as dissent, debate or any informed parent.) Consider Davis to be the sunlight.
