We didn't have a Republican president from 2020-24.
[b]We have had a Democratic president who have made our borders nonexistent. [/b] Today's flood of migrants into Eagle Pass has prompted the Democratic mayor to issue a state of emergency and call on Biden to change policy.  
The Republicans passed an immigration bill earlier this year that Schumer has refused to take up. 
And, if you don't think Democrats are for open borders, you need to listen to Veronica Escobar's "questioning" today at the Garland hearing.  It wasn't really questioning as much as complaining about Abbott.  Zero recognition or admission that Biden has a self-inflicted crisis because of his rhetoric and policies, or lack of them. Our interdictions are up since 2017-2021
The amount of drugs seized is up since 2017-2021
The number of people deported is up  since 2017-2021

These are not the records of a country who borders are non-existent.

The Dems have poured significantly more money into DHS and border security, into drones, and infared technology to aid our men and women law enforcement. Money the GOP opposed spending.
