Oh please.  Why have any standards at all. Doctors should just roll into meeting their patients with basketball jersies and sandals. Let's just keep degrading our standards and let people do whatever they want rather than demand more of our representatives of our country and holding them to higher standards with their appearance. How about military personnel wear whatever they want next. Wearing a uniform vs basketball shorts shouldn't matter for pulling a gun trigger too.

The military has specific clothing because it provides a measurable benefit (you know, the whole "camouflage" thing...) but there is absolutely no performance benefit given to a Senator by wearing a suit.

If they want to work nude they should be able to. There's nothing inherently bad, wrong, or sexual about nudity - we're all born nude and uncaring, it's literally as natural as it gets. The only reason people like you get upset about nudity is because of the societal influence of religion, which has zero basis in fact or reality and is completely invalid.

If you think Members aren't doing their jobs on substances already you're kidding yourself.  How many votes have happened after some number of Senators had 3 martini lunches? (I'll give you a hint, it's all of them.)
