Andi I think the UAW position is that the increases in car costs have not been due to rising costs but are rather corporate greed going to exec salaries, stock dividends, etc.  that the companies have taken advantage of a global crisis and the ensuing supply chain shortages to raise prices and enrich themselves.  And failed to give the workers a share of that increasing pie.  I haven’t seen the math on that so don’t know if that’s right.  But I’ve certainly heard other critiques that companies are taking advantage of inflation to raise prices more than is warranted.  [/quote]
