From VA court dress code: Backs, midriffs, and stomachs are to be covered at all times. https://www.vacourts.gov/courts/combined/Salem/attire.pdf
1. You can still wear form fitting clothing so lawyers in tight dresses is a a-ok 2. No one said you could wear a crop top in court 3. We are talking about school which is FAR more casual than a court room 4. If you have issues with kids wearing crop tops in school, that is YOUR problem, not theirs. 5. Sounds like you need to send your kids to a school with a dress code
You have no idea what is professionally acceptable for lawyers to wear, definitely not form fitting clothing, makes me think you really don’t know any lawyers at all. Parents can advocate for a dress code at their public school, it’s not a take it or leave it situation. It’s my problem because my child goes there. The point is, kids should learn how to dress appropriately for the setting. If your view is that at school or work everything goes, then I hope you found the job that accepts you and your crop tops without any reservations.
