What is “sick” about a person being willing to become and remain competent with a firearm to defend themselves and their family from becoming a statistic at the hands of a criminal psychopath, or a group of them since they tend to run in packs?  And the silly knee-jerk reaction to the mere mention of an AR15. The fact is that the projectile fired by an AR15 is less likely to penetrate building structures than the buckshot referred to by a previous poster. [/quote]

Self defense is a basic human right. The right to the efficacious means of self defense is a correlative right. Firearms aren’t the best choice for everyone, but people have the right to choose, and not be controlled by the projections of people who fear their own internal rage and violence. [/quote]
