Yes, a lot of people are excited about this movie. It's a weird concept with fantastic marketing, and indie movie royalty writing and directing. If it gets bad reviews, then sure no one will see it - it'll be another Babylon. If it gets good reviews, it'll be huge - and might even get Oscars.

In the time it's taken you to be defensive about not knowing these filmmakers, you could have tried watching some of their movies. You don't need to be up on cultural stuff if you don't want to - but you don't get any points for deciding to opt out of basic knowledge about current filmmakers. Who in the world would think that because those small indie films were good that Barbie would be good? That’s like saying Great Gerwig is directing the next Marvel movie and based on Little Women it will surely be great.[/quote]

+1 LOL. Oh and I’m uneducated and from a red state because I haven’t heard of the great Greta Gerwig or Noah Baumbach who made all of two indie films I thought were mediocre at best and because I don’t think Barbie looks that great.
