Not true. I work in ag. Most of what we eat is made here. Yes a lot of soybeans and a good amount of other food is exported. That’s in addition to what we keep here to eat. 
We do import a lot of fruit and veg but still probably not a majority. Anything made from grains is mostly all made here. Animal products are mostly made here - beef, chicken, pork, dairy, eggs etc.
