Lol, seriously? Reid Goldstein endorsed the child. Wow.
There are people that see him as the only viable option. And being on a school board in this day and age is a thankless job, so the competition is light.
+1
Based on what I've seen in posted videos, Reid's endorsement isn't going to age well. But the Stockton endorsement is a real coup for MT.
Goldstein's endorsement isn't going to move the needle, but no one knows or cares who Stockton is either. So, it's a wash.
What do you mean? Know one in ACDC knows who he is? I agree with that and they are the most likely voters. But I think any involved APS parent or staff knows who Stockton is and they are also likely voters (staff who live in Arlington, that is). I've already heard from people who were surprised by it. Otherwise I agree with you on ACDC. It's telling that Miranda has lined up alot of supporters who carry weight in ACDC and AC doesn't even seem to have support from Young Dems.
I pay attention to APS, and I don't know the current chief of staff, Brian Stockton or any other former chief of staffs. Do you really think most "involved" parents know? I do not. I bet it's less than 1%. I'm sure I've seen the current one/Brian Stockton at SB meetings, which I watch sometimes, but I never pay any attention to to them and so it's not remotely relevant. I don't care about Reid's endorsement at all as he's totally irrelevant, but I at least know who he is.
That's because "chief of staff" didn't exist before Duran. If you follow APS closely, you should realize the Duran has greatly expanded and reorganized central office administration staff and he has done so, for the most part, with people who don't do anything. I suspect that's one reason Stockton left - he wasn't doing anything and thought he could be more useful in Montg Co.
