Ask for the maximum time up front. If you really feel like you’d like to come back early, it’s much easier to explore that option then to continuously be disruptive by asking for extensions. If you can swing it financially, I would ask to return 1 year from now.[/quote] Agree, just surprised to hear a company allow 1.5 years of leave in this area/country.
