The quad is really beautiful and the buildings are a nice uniform brick. It’s an unexpected green oasis in a schlumpy suburban area.

It is easy for a campus to be beautiful when the have ivy endowments and nice locations by the beach and mountains. But UMd does unexpected beauty so well.

UMCP alum who thought the campus was very nice…then I started visiting colleges with my kids ;0)

Wake Forest, Elon, and the University of Alabama are lovely. Bama has a gorgeous campus and all new buildings have a traditional feel from the outside with state of the art interiors. Duke is nice. [/quote]
