Sounds just like my DS.  Had a game tonight and just checked.  Deferred EA.  Waitlisted.  4.2W Test Optional.  Full IB at one of FCPS lowest ranked high schools (high FARMS, high ESOL.)  DS is caucasian, UMC.  He had a C in IB Chemistry sophomore year when they were online for 3/4 of the year.  [/quote]

4.2W is his current GPA.  With 7 IB classes this year, it's going to be higher when he graduates.  Also, I stated before, DS goes to one of the lowest performing high schools in FCPS.   The IB diploma cohort is so small, they all talk to each other about their stats, where they are applying, where they are getting in.  Every single student in the high school who has been accepted or waitlisted at UVA this year is either a full IB diploma candidate or an IB Career Program candidate.  Honestly, I was expecting him to be rejected.  His sophomore year grades were not great when he was online: one C, and several B minuses, so the waitlist was somewhat good news.[/quote]
