My friend's a Harvard alum, as was his dad, so as a legacy, his (white) kid has a 30% chance of admissions. That's a hell of a lot better than the 3-5% chance non legacy kids would have. But, we're not talking about legacy admissions. We've worked with 2 private counselors and both have told us black students (especially girls) absolutely need rigor, high GPA and test scores to be admitted at T25 schools. First Gen, veterans and increasingly boys, are the new institutional priorities. [/quote]
