Wow, I'm really shocked by the first few pages of responses. I wouldn't let my kids go with my 75-year-old mom because she has dementia but would let them go with my 75-year-old dad (parents are divorced). It does depend on the country. England? France? Yes. Ukraine? No. I'm wondering if the people saying no haven't traveled internationally with their kids before. It's really not that big of a deal. My twins are 8, for what it's worth, so I'm not out of touch with the age at issue here.
+1 my DD has traveled internationally with just my parents on some amazing trips between the ages of 8 and 11. Just a few years later they are both unable to travel due to dementia and degenerative disease. I’m so glad she had the experiences with them that she did.
