No.  It was a RW/pro-life scare tactic.
If I remember correctly, it gained traction after a Ralph Northam (a pediatric neurologist prior to becoming governor) interview, in which he discussed the hypothetical situation of making a decision regarding resuscitation and/or lifesaving efforts versus just providing comfort care for a baby born with severe health issues, and that decision being made by the mother/parents.  I can't remember exact details, but some in the RW/pro-life camp twisted what he said into more nefarious terms.[/quote]

Forced birthers are too effing dumb to read any of the thousands of accounts of women who have had to make that horrifying decision. Some women choose late term abortions, some choose to deliver. It depends on the fetal condition and other factors. But it’s none of the prurient business of people who hate women recreationally. [/quote]
