I’d send my kid to an ice skating party when they are old enough and large enough to be safe independently. For me, an 8 yr old that has never skated or skates once per yr still needs some parental supervision and assistance [/quote]

If my kid wanted to have a skate party I would not care at all about your internal seething. Just stay home. The party is for the birthday child who said they wanted to skate. Really, if you're going to be angry just don't come. It's not that deep.[/quote]
