The DC citizens voted for statehood.[/quote] If the elected officials who belong to a certain political party cared about the opinions and wishes of DC citizens, then sales of recreational marijuana would be legal in DC, DC would always be allowed to decide for itself whether to spend its own locally-raised revenue on abortion care for DC residents on Medicaid, and DC would be a state. :-( [/quote]
