They don't get cheaper. You are not going to want to live off savings and investments, especially if you want to buy a house! And what if a kid ends up with special needs? Or needs therapies/tutors? (ask me how I know- these things are very expensive). Again, you are very defensive here. You need to cut some of these fixed luxuries to make this week.
