Kanye is quite interesting to me. His mother and father were both college professors and he lived in China and even spoke some Chinese as a boy when his mother took a teaching job in Nanjing as an English professor I know he hates Obama for calling him a jackass but it’s too bad they didn’t get along. I don’t think Kanye is bipolar. He is just a rich fashion obsessed man whose pissed he never fit in the boys” club (with the other celebs, the moguls, in China, in Southside Chicago). He was always the weirdo and odd man out
You don't understand Kanye or his cultural relevance.
I definitely do understand it. In fact, I respect him for finally making kids pull their pants up. The sagging jeans trend in hip hop stopped once Kanye popularized skinny jeans and so called “hipster” fashions. He is who he is and that’s why people loved him at first. He never lied about his upbringing, tried to be a gangster, or ever rapped about killing or drug dealing. He never cared when people called him gay or metrosexual for his fashions and actually was one of the first rappers to stand up against homophobia and for marriage rights and this was back in 04. He always talked about how much he loved and admired his mother and father and how great they raised him which may seem like no big deal to most people but this was at the height of broken hip hop /ghetto culture (04/05-back when Cosby was throwing fits about it). I remember then Senator Obama openly bragging about listening to Kanye’s The College Dropout album. Kanye was truly the thing back then. I don’t know how he got off the rails but I imagine his mother dying getting plastic surgery didn’t help. He never seemed to truly recover from that and I understand. He was an only child and attached to the hip to his mom
