Can’t trust US News I’m afraid - they factor in wonky things in their methodology like how much the budget is.  For instance, would you be surprised to know that half of MCPS 3rd graders don’t read at grade level yet funding for the county ranks the largest school district in Maryland high on the US News list?  Repeat Florida pays less, has same if not more diversity and often gets better results than higher paying Maryland - it’s just a fact and if we want Maryland to be a place like say Massachusetts then we have to figure out how to do that.[/quote]
