Was at a social this weekend, saw four mothers and their adult daughters. All of the daughters were much heavier than their mothers. The mothers were all in their late 60s to early 70s. Funny enough, the elderly women were doing all the cooking. All of the daughters worked outside, but these older women worked when they were younger too. The older women each had had more kids than their daughters. Not sure what has changed in families, but this was dramatic. I'm saying like 50- 100 pound difference in weight in all cases. One woman joked about it and said that her goal was to get to her moms weight.
Oh good. Another fat-hating post. I have always been too heavy for my mother, since my teens, when she offered my $1000 to lose 20 pounds even though I was then at a perfectly healthy weight. She's never had to actively diet or exercise to stay thin. She eats what she wants and would never give a thought to eating a cheeseburger if she wanted one while I have actual anxiety if a I choose that for lunch. So I kind of hate this post.
