I am dealing with PTSD ... aren't you? Did you miss the crazed woman who took the lectern at a civic meeting to tell those present that she was going to return to the school with loaded guns if her child was made to wear a mask? Have you not seen the coverage of people harassing and physically assaulting employees at stores and restaurants for wearing masks or being asked to wear a mask? What makes you all on this thread upset about your children wearing masks and starting WhatsApp groups to "take action" so different than those people?[/quote]

NP. Whoa, lady. You are nuts. No, I actually haven't heard about the crazy school board harassing woman who threatened gun violence, because I don't get my news from social media, don't watch cable news and don't read those parts of the newspaper. But I am on that WhatsApp group and I can assure you that you are WAY off in your assumptions what kind of people are on it and what the "action" is they are planning. None of us are the types who condone anyone harassing employees anywhere for their mask wearing. In fact, until this week I was masking up at stores as well. Also, I have expressed my disagreement on the other thread with the idea that parents should instruct their kids to flout the mask mandate and provoke confrontations with their teachers.

You really are very close-minded and misinformed if you believe that this school masking issue, at this point, is still a right wing cause only pursued by right-wing nutjobs. It is not. The CDC says kids can unmask. So yeah, I and the other people on that WhatApp group are indeed very different than those people, because we are not engaging in violence or calls for violence and confrontation, but in civil advocacy for our children.
