Not if you are in-state and not Catholic. What about ND ranking only 285 globally did you miss? UVA got my kid into Cambridge for grad work. There are a lot of UVA students at Oxbridge [/quote]

Some might choose UVA if paying significantly lesss for in-state tuition and/or wanting to stay close to mommy.
My kid got in both Notre Dame and UVA. Not even a second thought just like most people.
