Because many of us got covid, it wasn’t a big deal, and we’re moving on with our lives. The fear is gone. I’m vaccinated and boosted, and had covid less than 60 days ago. I’m done, and don’t see any point in continued masking to do what, exactly? Protect people who can’t be bothered to vaccinate themselves?

People at risk for serious illness have had a year to get vaccinated. I’m done worrying about people who aren’t worried about themselves.

Many who also got Covid were unable to move in with their lives and many still are still dying from Covid.

Your attitude has been called out as selfish and this exemplifies that point. There are people who likely caught and died from Covid thanks to this attitude and unwillingness to wear masks or get vaccinated. [/quote]
Shrug. Mask mandates are starting to fall like dominoes all over the country. I live in Virginia, and can’t remember the last time I put on a mask.

You’re the guy parks in two spaces, leaves the shopping cart out in the parking lot, leaves food on random shelves in Walmart because you changed your mind, cuts in at the last minute in a traffic jam, doesn’t silence the phone in the theater, takes their shoes off on the plane, Thinks CRT is bad, doesn’t think Jan 6 was bad, thinks mask wearing is a choice but books should be banned if you don’t like what it says or uses words you don’t like. Because those health codes apply to specific employees in specific workplaces. There’s no general requirement that you keep chicken in the bottom drawer of your fridge at home (though it’s a good idea). In certain limited circumstances and situations, things like vaccine mandates and mask wearing may be warranted. But a general mandate for either of those things? That’s unprecedented in American history.

Thankfully, American support for these types of mandates is steadily evaporating. Certainly, a general vaccine mandate is deader than disco, thanks to the Supreme Court.[/quote]
