I don't see where the current senior class is having a poor year with colleges. Something like 25-30% got into their ED's. A bunch of kids have had positive results on EA's and ED2's are coming out over the next few weeks. It is pretty much on par with peer schools and previous years results.

Seriously. It's pretty arrogant for a family to expect that a kid will have a guaranteed admit to a highly competitive school just because they went to Sidwell.  Especially when a very large number of kids from Sidwell applied ED (or SCEA) to the same school.  I think 15 kids applied to Brown. 
Now, is Brown really going to take 15 kids from Sidwell or any one high school in America?  Yeah, no.  Max of 5 in a year.  In a good year.  Maybe Andover will have a higher rate.  If there was any ED disaster coming from Sidwell it was the parents/kids misplaying the their ED/SCEA picks.  [/quote]
