I'm not a grinch, but holiday cards after December 25th aren't as nice. After December 31, they go straight in the trash after I open them. I love displaying cards and like it when they arrive 2 weeks before Christmas. I have this pet peeve with birthday cards too. 90% of cards for me or my kids arrive after their birthday! Whereas I put up a birthday banner for the week before their birthday (I have little kids) and would like to leave the cards displayed on our island that week.
 :   I truly wonder how people like you and OP manage to get through your days.
Well, when someone displays cards on an island rather than a fireplace mantel where they should be properly displayed, that's all we need to know about them.
I put my cards up on mantle and have a display for them. So when I host Xmas people always while I serve appetizers and drinks look at them and often comment. Oh I see your sister in law has a new daughter. So if not there no one know it was sent and after Xmas when cleaning up house last thing I need are cards after the fact. Look I get invited to Xmas my MIL house around 20 people in room send me Xmas card and I sent them none. Weird. Even if I send them late weird. And then they will tell you with WFH so much more free time to hit gym, go out to dinner, tell you about all the nextflix binge but you are so low your card is send day after Xmas. Don’t bother so I can take you off the list. Or just give it to me in person Xmas day when I see you.
Something tells me you also closely track how many linkedin, FB and insta followers you have. True or false OP?
