A man came up behind a man and his baby today just south of Eastern Market and hit them with A BRICK. This is not normal and yet no DC politician is outraged or is proposing any reasonable solutions to any of this crime.
This! WTF!!! https://twitter.com/anc6b10/status/1472613139816534021?s=21
A woman who replied to that said that a daycare nearby had been advised by police not to take the children outside anymore. This is apparently after they had some trouble with an aggressive man (presumably a different man than the brick-throwing guy). Does anyone know anything about this? We go to the playground at eastern market frequently and I’m really unnerved by a second bizarre attack involving children. I like to think I’m not easily rattled but the story about the infant (and some recent experiences a bit south of eastern market) really disturbed me. I feel so for that family and hope they’re okay.
I don’t blame you at all for being rattled. A brick is a dangerous weapon and anyone who throws objects at children is disturbed and should be avoided and feared.
I am sure Charles Allen will come out with a strong statement decrying... brick manufacturers.
