There will be cases the rest of our lives, including high cases over the next several years.  You're saying kids need to mask in school for years to come!  Lunatics!  Please keep it up though so people know your true intentions.

Bans on mask mandates have now been upheld at the federal appellate level, from Florida to Texas to other places (reversing lower courts).  The district court level is where some have been struck down by partisan judges.  And we'll have state funding battles with the new legislative session if school districts want to hold out, as successfully happened in Florida.

Come January 15th, many school districts throughout VA will be going mask optional immediately (Chesapeake, the 6th largest district, said they're doing so on January 3rd).  Also, private schools throughout VA and NOVA will be doing it on January 15th as well.  And we already know from other places that had mask optional schools, it hasn't made any difference - good luck with the political pressure when all of that occurs, you child-maskers.[/quote]

Yes, masks work. Yes, masks will eventually come off when community spread drops.

There will be variants for years to come - these people want our kids masked for years to come. We're only getting out of this by everyone getting COVID, and everyone will get it. COVID will never be eradicated. Let it rip!

Masks work? Please all, read the best study on masks, the Bangladesh random control trial - cloth masks didn't work, and surgical only reduced spread by 11% for people 50 and over (and this was all in a pre-vaccine environment too.  For those surgical cases vs. control, how many less cases out of those 50 and over vs. control group = 20 cases!  It's very debateable whether that 11% was even caused by masks, considering spread was lower when people wore red masks and other cofounders.

And yes, mask optional will be happening at schools all over VA on January 15th. My kids' private Christian school here already said they're gone the day Youngkin axes the statewide order.[/quote]
