I don't.  I have a 1,394 page book I base my decision on.  Some accounts in that book have been verified in historic records.

A credibility determination of a witness account doesn't require every single thing stated to be corroborated.  Corroboration of some, with contemporaneous records, can be sufficient.

No scientist "believes aliens exist".  Some believe math says they probably do and are LOOKING FOR EVIDENCE.  They are not blindly worshipping those aliens on the weekends or reverently reading a book purported to be alien words.  Because that would be HIGHLY ILLIOGICAL.

The Bible is non-fiction, and biographical about, among other people, Jesus.  And there are Roman records of his existence.
