It pisses me off that adults are refusing the vaccine and because of them Delta is spreading. We could have been through the Worst of it by now.
It pisses me off people cannot cool it with their behavior to help keep our kids health and those who are vaccinated healthy. Unvaccinated in this area are not the issue and there are plenty of vaccinated cases so we need those not vaccinated to get vaccinated and everyone to cool it for a few months so we can try to beat this. AND, we need to get vaccines to other countries given US citizens feel the need to travel abroad and bring it back. Its not as simple as just getting unvaccinated vaccinated anymore. It truly sucks. Some of us have kept our kids home for over a year and are easily looking at another year. At this point, we are not sending our kids back and have zero plan since we are not prepared to homeschool. Never in a million years would I have considered covid. So, I blame all those traveling, dining out, having large parties, indoor activities, etc.
You are making the decision to not live life. My kids didn’t miss a day of school last year and are returning this year. They have play dates and we travel safely. They’ve barely noticed the blip. You are just passing on your anxiety.
I know it is difficult for callus and smug people like you to understand, but some of us genuinely care about more than our own families, so our risk calculus was impacted by concern about public health, including the most medically vulnerable and those who, due to economic necessity, were unable to avoid exposure. Whether we were right or wrong, blaming people for acting out of concern for the greater good demonstrations your self-centeredness.
oh spare me. your outdoor masking, forcing schools to close, and self-imposed isolation did nothing to help anything else. using Instacart doesn’t make you mother teresa.
I was the PP and didn’t do any of those things, except as required. But we did curtail family in personal activities because we wanted school to be open (and thought they should be).
