I suggest buying 2 date outfits, one for casual and one for dressy, and just repeatedly wearing them on first dates. You can buy some more tops and such later when you need them. Having a go-to uniform will help you feel more comfortable and confident in these new types of clothes and hopefully help in your dating efforts.
