Perhaps the above poster was a bit extreme in describing the group of pit bull enthusiasts as a lobby; however, the Humane Rescue Alliance has made it its mission to proliferate pitbulls in the DC area and overturn the BSL in PG County.  When the head of a large rescue in a community believes these dogs should be in every home, I would say it could be consider a lobby - not to the government - but to the people.

We all know of people (or know them personally) who claim that “pitties” are just the sweetest dogs ever, just misunderstood. When the breed is responsible for multiple unprovoked fatal attacks, I don’t think we need to jolly them along in their delusions.[/quote]
