It could have happened to anyone, but gosh golly, it's so weird that it happens disproportionately more to Black people and in line with reported police violence against them.  Such a strange coincidence.  But definitely not racism by my super narrow definition that absolves the police of anything other than saying "I'm shooting this man because he is Black".  Yeah we're not racist in America.[/quote]

Honest question: have there been any attempts to track outcomes from comparable encounters with police?  That is, when you look at situations where a white suspect as attempting to flee from an arrest, how much different are the outcomes than when a black suspect flees from police?
