What I want to know is:  are there some places that this doesn't happen to people who can actually smell it?
We went to Florida recently and did not notice this.  Clothes smelled like we had been outside, but they did not give off the same PUNGENT outside smell we get here in North Carolina.  
My adult daughters won't go out if they can avoid it b/c it is really unpleasant.

So...anyone ever noticed this NOT happening in one geographical area and happening in others?
