It's different because the Church has repented for the sin of child molestation.  They know it's wrong and have paid out large sums of money in legal settlements.

Same-sex couples wanting to marry in the Church are not repentant.  They celebrate their homosexuality and expect other Catholics to do the same.[/quote]

How many bishops have been fired for covering these scandals up?  They admit that the abuse is wrong but they don't go after those who hid the abuse or fought the claims.[/quote]
