I am 5'5" and straight up and down. I like wearing high waisted pants, maxi skirts, and belted shirt dresses. This woman was constantly laughing at my clothes (literally laughing, I wore a pair of high waisted bell bottoms once and she straight up laughed and told me how ugly they were).

The thing is; I didn't care then and don't care now. I wear the clothes I like. But I wonder if that woman ever recognized that it was SO TRANSPARENT that her attitude about my clothes being unstylish were based entirely on the fact that they wouldn't look good on her body. I honestly don't think she had the self-awareness back then, but maybe she does now.

Anyway, some women are naturally thin and look good in high waisted denim. You just sound petty when you try to tell them not to wear it. People should wear what they feel good in. I'm not required to pretend I don't look good in my high waist jeans just so you can feel better about yourself.[/quote]
