Nope, you just don’t have an eye for detail. There is nowhere in suburban VA that has the type of pre WW2 SFHs that Chevy Chase has, not even close. The only places with homes like that are in NW DC. Beyond that, Bethesda is much nicer than Arlington and cute, green, parklike neighborhoods within walking distance to commuter rail with grand Victorian homes (Garrett Park) don’t exist in NoVA. Where in VA can you get a home like this within a 5 minute walk to a commuter rail that takes 20 minutes to get to DC, especially in a 8/10 school district?

PP here. For charm like this at this price, you’d have to go to Del Rey and live in a flipped bunglow on a 6,000 sq ft lot in a 2/10 school district zoned for TC Williams.[/quote]
