I am a liberal and I am complaining about non permitted protestors blocking traffic. Do you need a permit to protest in this city or not? If the law has changed and I can just block traffic as much as I want without a permit, then have at it. But if you still need a permit, then go get one or get out of the road. and don't tell me I can't be a liberal because I want laws followed.

So you support Black Lives Matter so long as we are not protesting in your backyard?

This is the kind of hypocrisy that trumpets love to see. The purpose of these protests is to bring about real change even if it makes people a little uncomfortable. When we have people running over peaceful protestors, especially Women of Color, we need to expose them and publicly punish them to stop others from doing the same.
Yes, I support Black Lives Matter and No I do not support non permitted protests or illegal closing of streets. Define making people a 'little uncomfortable'. Should they be allowed to stand outside of somebody's garage and not allow them to leave the garage? Maybe. Should they be able to block access to schools in a month? Maybe. But guess what, there are laws that give people access to roads and schools. Your protest is a permitted protest with your acoustic amplification and sirens and such. Or you can even get a permit to block streets. People do it all the time. But you might be offended by the protestors painting Baby Lives Matter in front of Planned Parent Hood. You might be offended by them having loudspeakers and sirens. But not to worry, because the police enforce their permit and the Mayor is super quick at power washing their fear roadway mural. So don't tell me that I am not allowed to be liberal, support BLM and not support your non permitted protest.
Yes! Just yesterday I refused to pay my respects to John Lewis as he lay in state at the Capitol, as he was a notorious rule-breaker and blocked traffic on the Edmund Pettus Bridge! I don't believe he had a permit for that parade, and he and his group of bandits illegally prevented access to a public thoroughfare. What if a family had needed to drive their son to travel lacrosse during this unpermitted riot? Glad to see so many genuine liberals posting here, and not fake cons at all!
And don't get me started about the Boston Tea Party! I don't believe historians have found any evidence of permit requests completed by the Sons of Liberty, and not only did their unpermitted demonstration result in the destruction of private property, but it no doubt also impeded traffic between the Old South Meeting House and Griffin's Wharf.
